Originating in Victorian times, Randalls Brewery has been a premiere destination for Guernsey beer lovers since 1868.  Proud brewers for over 140 years, Randalls is the only Guernsey beer producer to feature a brand new, state-of-the-art Velo designed brew house.  With the capacity to produce one million litres of beer per year, Randalls has 84,000 litres fermenting or brewing at any given time.  Here are a few of their popular brews:

Breda: First brewed in Holland in 1538, Breda (4.9%ABV) is a refreshing, full flavoured lager brewed with just 4 ingredients; water, malted barley, hops and yeast. Randalls special strain of lager yeast imparts a distinctively fruity flavour which balances the robust bitterness to drive a thirst for more of this iconic Guernsey beer!

Patois: Randall's Patois is a bright chestnut brown best bitter brewed to 4.5%ABV. Restrained malt tones are balanced with a subtle but complex hop aroma. 3 varieties of hop imbue Patois with floral and citrus notes. The finish is clean and dry with a distinct bitterness, making this a delightfully complex Guernsey beer.

Oranjeboom: This Lager is brewed to 4.2%ABV and is both light and refreshing. The distinctive fresh fruit aroma comes from an extra dose of hops added at the whirlpool. Brewed with just 4 natural ingredients, Malted Barley, Hops, Yeast and Water, Oranjeboom is perfect for people who appreciate a quality Guernsey beer but prefer slightly lower alcohol content.  In Holland, Oranjeboom means Orange Tree, which is a symbol of the Dutch Royal Family.

Brewery Tours

One of Randalls knowledgeable brewers will guide you through the brewery , explaining how they use the equipment to turn malted barley, hops, water and yeast into delicious Guernsey beer. After the tour you can sample their brews in the bar.

Tours are held on Saturday mornings for individuals and groups from April to September.  Starting at 11am, they take between 60-90 minutes, and include tasting.  Cost is £5.00 per adult, and FREE for under-18s.

There are also year-round tours available on Wednesday evenings for groups of 12-24.  These tours are from 6pm-730pm, and the cost will depend on the number of people in the group.
